iPod nano Watch Turns Two as SMS Celebrates its 20th Birthday!

Six billon SMS (short message service) messages are sent every day in the United States of America. That’s over 2.2 trillion a year! With so many accomplishments in its short lifetime, people might have trouble believing that the text message is only 20 years old! Even younger are the kubxlab™ iPod nano watch strap collections that you know and love, which reached age two in September of this year, 2012.
But, let’s talk SMS! Leading the pack in innovative products, software engineer Neil Papwork sent the first ever text message on December 3, 1992. All it read was, “Merry Christmas.”
Since then text messaging has slowly taken over large chunks of society’s day, gaining popularity because of the easy to use function and compatibility with the smartest of modern phones and oldest of flip phones.
While text messaging has gone on to revolutionize the way we communicate, it has faced its fair share of criticism. Many experts in the field of communication cite SMS for the breakdown in interpersonal communication, while state officials blame a large number of car accidents on people sending and receiving texts while driving.
Yet, text messaging has matured into a $150 billion-a-year industry and there’s no telling how it will evolve in the future! kubxlab™ took the Apple® nano 6th Gen to the next life stage by introducing iPod nano watch bands to fit… What do you think is next for SMS?
